Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking highly qualified critical care anesthesiologists to join the Division of Critical Care within the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. The Critical Care Division includes over 50 anesthesia intensivists as part of a larger department of over 180 anesthesiologists. Anesthesia critical care intensivists practice in a multidisciplinary care team model.

  • Deliver critical care in surgical critical care areas, including general and specialty surgery (ENT, hepatobiliary, colorectal, urology, and vascular surgery), cardiac surgery (including mechanical support), and transplant (solid organ, face, hand, and bone marrow)
  • Staff ICUs focused on medical oncology and hematology patients
  • Participate in a virtual acute care practice, including an eICU and a program to detect and intervene on deteriorating inpatients
  • Support an advanced airway management and emergency response system throughout the hospital

The role includes an academic appointment to the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. We seek forward-thinking, innovative intensivists to enhance our team, particularly those with backgrounds or interests in:

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology and Critical Care
  • Interest in joining a high-volume, high-acuity practice

Pay

The minimum starting salary for hospital-based specialties may range from $217,500 to $533,750. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
