Critical Care Anesthesiologist - Associate/Full Professor

About the role

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in the specific area of critical care anesthesia.
• Must have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
• ABA certification in anesthesiology or status as a candidate in the examination system, along with ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license.
• Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through operating rooms and wards of HUP, PPMC, and PAH.
• May provide critical care services at HUP, PPMC, and PAH, as well as clinical anesthesia services at HUP or PPMC.
• Opportunities to participate in innovative critical care programs, including tele-critical care and mobile ECMO.
• May rotate through one or two additional ICUs depending on the number of ICU weeks worked.

Requirements

• Expertise in the specific area of critical care anesthesia.
• M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
• ABA certification in anesthesiology or status as a candidate in the examination system, along with ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license.

• Ability to provide critical care and clinical anesthesia services.
