Crisis Specialist On Call - Flagstaff
Responsibilities
- Respond on-site to individuals in crisis whose issues cannot be resolved by the crisis call center telephonically.
- Utilize best practices in crisis intervention to respond and support individuals and families in crisis.
- Engage in administrative activities necessary for the crisis department to function on a daily basis.
- Perform mobile crisis interventions in various settings such as individual residences, schools, and hospital emergency rooms.
- Work effectively and respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders, and all others involved.
- Support hospital discharges by providing assessment, planning, and facilitation with the hospital team.
- Act as a key interface between the Crisis Department and the crisis call center.
- Ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place and operating.
- Help manage the Crisis Department schedule.
- Work closely with fleet and facilities departments.
- Audit documentation to ensure administrative completeness and accuracy.
- Display flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
- Fills shifts on an as needed basis and does not have a set weekly schedule.
Requirements
This position requires a professional, friendly, self-starter, organized, and compassionate individual. Bilingual language differential pay is available for candidates who speak additional languages.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, and a current license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a similar credential. Experience in crisis intervention, trauma, and/or substance abuse is preferred.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $30,000 - $40,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The On-Call Crisis Specialist position works a minimum of 4, 10-hour shifts per month and may require evening and overnight shifts. Shifts are filled on an as needed basis and do not have a set weekly schedule.
