Responsibilities
- Provides face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention and crisis stabilization
- Diagnostic evaluation and assessment of need for treatment
- Pre-admission screening for private and state psychiatric hospitalization
- Monitoring of individuals ordered to participate in Mandatory Outpatient Treatment (MOT) including attendance in and follow-up to civil commitment hearings
Requirements
- Master’s degree (30 credit hours or more) in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Services that includes coursework for eventual licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia
- Experience providing mental health or substance use services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families
- Documented crisis intervention experience within the past five years
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months of hire
- Valid drivers’ license and safe driving record

Pay
- Annual Salary Range: $51,821 - $90,687
- $8000 Sign on Bonus
- 20% Increase for Licensure
- 10% Increase for Resident/Supervisee
Schedule
- Shift Differential: $2.00 for 2nd shift; $3.00 for 3rd shift
