Crisis Intervention Specialist - Part-time, Swing
Position Overview
NWHS is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Crisis & Information Hotline Team. This role provides immediate crisis intervention, resources, and support to individuals in urgent need.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or behavioral health sciences field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team
- Demonstrated ability to use appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills while working with individuals who may be very escalated or experiencing acute crisis
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care models
- Demonstrated ability to practice self-reflection
Requirements
- Work some holidays and weekends
- This is an onsite position
- Due to the nature of the position, there are no scheduled lunch breaks
- The role requires flexibility in managing breaks and meals during shifts
- Employees are expected to remain on-call for client support throughout their shift

The Crisis & Information Hotline operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our goal is to foster the life-affirming part of each caller and to empower them to maintain or improve their quality of life. The Hotline is a member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology.
