Crisis Intervention Specialist - Swing, Full-time

Position Overview

NWHS is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Crisis & Information Hotline Team. This vital role within our 24/7 program offers immediate crisis intervention, resources, and support to individuals in urgent need.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or behavioral health sciences field, or combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training, or experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
• Demonstrated ability to use appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills while working with individuals who may be very escalated or experiencing acute crisis.
• Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care models.
• Demonstrated ability to practice self-reflection.

Job Requirements

• Work some holidays and weekends.
• This is an onsite position.
• Due to the nature of the position, there are no scheduled lunch breaks.
• The role requires flexibility in managing breaks and meals during shifts.
• Employees are expected to remain on-call for client support throughout their shift.

About the Role

The Crisis & Information Hotline operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our goal is to foster the life-affirming part of each caller and to empower them to maintain or improve their quality of life. The Hotline is a member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology, meaning we are held to the highest national standards for suicide intervention services.
