Crisis Evaluator - Psych Acute Adult
Responsibilities
Affords assessments of patients in the emergency room and throughout the facility as needed, ensuring proper placement based on age, health issues, and needs.
Operates within the framework of LPS statutes and respects patients' rights.
Provides crisis intervention and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff members.
Qualifications
- Current valid license as a Registered Nurse, MFT, or LCSW from the State.
- LPS certification preferred or must obtain within six months of employment.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintains current.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
- Assaultive Behavior Management training completed within six months of hire and maintained annually.
- DMH certification required for 5150 detention.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $180.00 per case.
