What You’ll Do
- Provide face-to-face, phone, and virtual crisis intervention in a timely and supportive manner
- Work with children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of crisis situations
- Engage individuals admitted to inpatient psychiatric settings and link them to community supports
- Assist with involuntary admission processes at the Macon County Court
- Complete pre-admission screening assessments for nursing facility referrals
- Maintain strong relationships with referral sources and partner agencies
- Collaborate with internal and external providers—including crisis teams, case managers, counselors, psychiatric providers, and clinical leaders—to ensure coordinated, effective care

- Knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses
- Understanding of psychiatry, medical services, and community resources
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently in the community and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Commitment to ongoing learning and growth
Education & Requirements
- Knowledgeable in a human services–related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required)
- Must meet criteria to function at minimum as a Mental Health Professional (MHP)
- Master’s-level Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) must obtain licensure within 2 years of employment
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required
- Experience in crisis services strongly preferred
Pay & Benefits
- Salary Range: $47,840 – $75,000 per year (Dependent on education and experience)
