Crisis Clinical Director
Overview
We offer the initial compensation for this position ranging from $131,940 - $162,270 per year, depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations. Additionally, there is an 8% license differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD., and select peer certifications, and a 7.5% bilingual differential for qualified positions.

About Our Program
CSU provides 24/7 crisis response and stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The goal is to divert youth from more extended psychiatric hospital stays. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with weekends, holidays, and after-hours support as needed.
Job Summary
Oversees a program that provides 24/7 crisis response and stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Manages multiple clinical programs, oversees clinical staff and operations, ensures culturally appropriate services, collaborates on agency-wide initiatives, and interfaces with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the management of programs, assesses strengths and needs for improvement.
- Develops and manages program budget.
- Affirms and supports a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
- Trains and coordinates training for systems change, supporting learning partners, and training direct service staff in safe and effective crisis response protocols and risk assessments.
- Facilitates the integration of best practices at all levels with agency programs and support teams.
- Evaluates, assesses, and manages risk in the context of interfacing with individuals who are in an active acute mental health crisis.
- Develops and negotiates program proposals.
- Represents agency to internal and external stakeholders.
- Buils and nurtures relationships with community partners and payors.
- Researches, reviews, implements, and monitors Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs), best practice principles, structures, and clinical policy.
- Facilitates community and agency-based trainings.
- Facilitates crisis response training to schools, law enforcement agencies, and other community stakeholders.
- Participates in on-call/after-hours manager rotations, which may include in-person response.
- Negotiates and monitors performance to program and outside agency contracts.
- Manages and assures continuous development of Clinical Program Manager (CPMs) and direct reports' skills and competencies.
- Participates in Leadership Academy and curriculum development.
- Applies legal and ethical standards in completion of work.
- Participates on Crisis Continuum On-Call Leadership rotation after hours and weekends.
- Facilitates crisis response training to schools, law enforcement agencies, and other community stakeholders.
Qualifications

Master's Degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling or related field and a combination of more than six years of experience, including: Three (3) years direct clinical experience, working in adult or child mental health, and an additional two (2) years of clinical supervisory experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education).
