We are seeking an experienced Criminal Law Attorney with substantial experience practicing U.S. criminal law at a BigLaw firm, major law firm, or comparable legal practice. The ideal candidate will contribute subject-matter expertise to legal analysis and technology-driven projects by evaluating legal materials and providing clear, accurate, and well-reasoned insights.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret criminal law documents, including statutes, case law, court filings, motions, briefs, and legal opinions.
  • Conduct legal research on criminal law issues and stay current with developments in statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Review and edit complex legal documents for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and legal consistency.
  • Analyze criminal cases and identify relevant legal issues, arguments, procedural matters, and potential outcomes.
  • Summarize legal arguments, court decisions, and procedural issues in a clear and structured format.
  • Distill complex criminal-law concepts into concise, understandable written analysis.
  • Evaluate legal arguments and identify strengths, weaknesses, inconsistencies, and important legal nuances.
  • Provide actionable feedback on legal content to improve accuracy and real-world applicability.
  • Review and synthesize large volumes of legal information while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Contribute legal expertise to technology-driven legal projects and structured legal content evaluation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams using remote digital collaboration platforms.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality work within established project timelines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active U.S. bar membership.
  • Substantial professional experience practicing U.S. criminal law.
  • Experience at a BigLaw firm, major law firm, or comparable legal practice.
  • Strong knowledge of criminal statutes, case law, court procedures, and legal principles.
  • Excellent legal research and legal writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex criminal cases and legal documents.
  • Experience reviewing court filings, briefs, motions, opinions, and related legal materials.
  • Strong ability to synthesize large volumes of legal information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Sound legal judgment and commitment to professional ethics.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.
