About the role

The Crew Superintendent will lead one of ROHL Global Networks USA's Cable Plow crews in the Renewable Energy space. This role involves coordinating and overseeing daily construction and installation activities on assigned worksites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to ROHL’s quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review project scope and execute key tasks, including hands-on field work as required.
  • Organize and coordinate daily activities of crew members, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Cook up crew travel, lodging, and rental equipment for each project.
  • Plan and schedule equipment and manpower requirements in coordination with the Project Manager or General Manager.
  • Review grade sheets and ensure accuracy.
  • Review and approve crew timecards.
  • Document relevant project information, including site conditions, personnel matters, and scope changes.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate crew members while promoting company values and a strong work ethic.
  • Support team performance and resolve conflicts as they arise.
  • Ensure effective communication among crew, subcontractors, and management.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Conduct tool and equipment safety training for crew members.
  • Perform job site safety audits as directed by safety personnel.
  • Perform additional field or administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Supervisor or Foreman in cable plowing or trenching operations.
  • Underground utility experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and cost reports.
  • Strong understanding of construction procedures and safety practices.
  • Proficient with mobile devices and basic construction-related software.
  • Knowledge of equipment operation, utilization, and maintenance.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, problem-solving ability, and sound decision-making.
  • Valid First Aid / CPR Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
