Crew Foreman

About the role

The Crew Foreman oversees and supervises all crews within the Water Department, ensuring tasks are completed according to specifications and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and supervises work for all crews
• Maintains accurate records of work activities
• Monitors the work of the crew and ensures each task is completed according to specifications
• Plans long-term and short-term equipment and personnel needs and makes recommendations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic plumbing and pipefitting methods
• Knowledge of water system installation, repair, and management
• Ability to supervise the work of others
• Reading skills to comprehend specifications, directives, rules, and procedures
• Writing skills to complete work-related records, forms, and reports
• Valid Class A CDL license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
• Driving record meeting standards set by the county's insurance carrier
• Physical ability to work non-standard hours, overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least six (6) to eight (8) years of work-related experience preferred

Qualifications

This is a **Safety-Sensitive position**. Successful candidates **must pass a pre-employment drug test** and will be **subject to random, unannounced drug testing throughout their employment** with the County in any **Safety-Sensitive position**.
