Crew Lead - Security
About the Role
The Crew Lead - Security Systems acts as the on-site coordinator and supervisor for the installation of Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV, and Intrusion systems) according to manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings. This role ensures job completion aligns with company and customer quality and safety standards while maintaining team efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise several Technicians - Security Systems, ensuring effective performance and providing necessary training.
- Assume responsibility for adherence to company and customer safety and quality guidelines; hold weekly safety meetings.
- Initiate performance-related communications and escalate issues to the Security Systems Project Manager as needed.
- Coordinate with the SS Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and compliance with the project budget.
- Complete all company and project paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers.
- Serve as the main on-site customer contact for questions and concerns; attend facility and construction meetings when required.
- Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of card access, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion systems; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

- Ability to work at heights, off ladders, and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to see and distinguish colors, read small print, and hear/recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
- Willingness to travel within the branch and/or regional territory as needed.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security systems installation.
- Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
- Must meet company minimum driving standards.
- Proficiency with the following tools:
- Basic hand tools: screwdriver (all sizes, regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (adjustable, needle nose, lineman), hammer, cable stripper, insulated crimping tool, flashlight, and gloves.
- Multimeter, butt-set, toner/wand, coax compression, and/or hex crimp tool.

Pay
Minimum: $30.00/year. Maximum: $35.00/year.
