Crew Chief / Field Leader - Restoration & Reconstruction

About the role

Are you a hands-on person who knows how to get things done? Do you have experience in construction, plumbing, sprinklers, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, maintenance, or another trade? Are you ready to take the next step and become a Crew Chief / Field Leader? Restoration experience is NOT required. We will train the right person. At ServiceMaster by GBS, we're looking for people with work ethic, common sense, accountability, leadership potential, and the ability to learn quickly. We can teach restoration. You bring the drive to work, learn, and take responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a restoration crew.
• Take ownership of assigned job sites.
• Perform hands-on restoration, demolition, and reconstruction work.
• Learn water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and reconstruction.
• Keep jobs moving efficiently and maintain high-quality work.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Identify problems and take initiative to solve them.
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and professional.
• Document work and communicate job progress.
• Participate in emergency response and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• You may come from construction or remodeling, plumbing, sprinkler installation/service, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, property or building maintenance, or another skilled trade.
• Works hard and stays productive.
• Learns quickly and takes direction.
• Has good common sense and problem‑solving skills.
• Takes ownership instead of making excuses.
• Can work independently and make decisions in the field.

Pay

$20–$30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates with strong hands-on experience and leadership potential may qualify toward the higher end of the range.

Schedule

Full‑time position with participation in a defined on‑call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
