Crepe Operator-2nd Shift

About the role

Seaman Paper is a global manufacturer of sustainable specialty paper and packaging solutions, family‑owned and headquartered in Leominster, Massachusetts. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Crepe Operator to join our Converting team in Gardner, MA. In this role you will operate equipment that transforms tissue paper into crepe paper for downstream converting operations while maintaining a safe, efficient, and quality‑focused production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate crepe machines according to production requirements.
• Load and unload tissue paper rolls safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and complete routine operational checks.
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain production and quality standards.
• Transport finished crepe rolls to converting lines.
• Inspect and maintain roll carts to ensure safe operation.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify and report safety, quality, or equipment concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support team members and production needs as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.

Requirements

• Previous machine operating experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or converting experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
• Physical requirements: stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift; safely work on elevated platforms and catwalks; push and maneuver roll carts weighing up to 500 lb; occasionally lift and move materials up to 50 lb; work safely around operating machinery; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with
