About the role
The Restaurant Cashier processes non-gaming transactions such as check initiation and settlement in all F&B outlets off the gaming floor. Responsibilities include assisting with host and busser functions, handling guest inquiries, maintaining drawer balances, managing comps, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel's history, maps, locations, hours of operation, and efficient guest inquiries handling
- Start-up and balance drawer at the end of each shift
- Settle patron checks using resort POS system, collect all tender methods, and enter system
- Maintain accountability of cash, checks, and paperwork for non-gaming transactions
- Knowledgeable of non-gaming comps, gift cards, ambassador charges, executive charges, and room charges
- Account for all players comp slips and handle guest relations
- Assist with seating guests, wiping silverware, and setting tables as directed
- Perform any duties assigned by manager or shift manager
- Work collaboratively with other departments for the benefit of the casino
- Comply with information security policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional work environment
Requirements
- Outgoing, friendly personality with a cheerful positive accommodating disposition
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of previous cashier or money handling experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of start-up and close-down of cash registers preferred
- Ability to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine
- Good math skills required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking effectively
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully

Pay and Benefits
Starting rate: $16.00, compensation negotiable based on experience and education. Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
