About the role
Ralph Lauren Corporation is seeking enthusiastic Cashiers to join our dynamic team. Our Cashiers are the face of our stores, greeting and thanking customers with a genuine smile, ensuring a seamless checkout experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a seamless checkout experience by processing transactions with precision, securing customer information within our Point of Sale (POS) system, and maintaining an immaculate cashwrap area.
- Create exceptional customer experiences by providing warm, welcoming greetings, answering phones professionally, handling inquiries effectively, and engaging in cross-selling and upselling.
- Balance multiple tasks while maintaining customer service priority by balancing multiple tasks while maintaining customer service priority.
- Process all sales transactions efficiently (cash, credit, debit, checks), validate and inspect returned merchandise, manage promotional offers and coupon redemption, execute Ship to Home orders with precision, maintain customer profiles in POS system, and process merchandise professionally (scanning, folding, bagging).
- Maintain cleanliness of cash wrap, queue line, and surrounding areas, capture reticket information for tag less merchandise, support visual merchandising standards following company guidelines, and provide feedback to Management on product and category opportunities.
Requirements
- Preferred retail experience or similar industry experience in a complex, high-volume or high-profile specialty environment.
- Effective communication skills with customers and store personnel.
- Physical ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressing room, cashwrap and office; work around/with chemicals, lift/climb up to 30 lbs., and climb moderately.
- Ability to operate the register, stand, move and walk for multiple hours.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel (as required).
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management, and co-workers.
