Credit Manager- In-Office Midvale, UT

About the role

Zions Bank is seeking a Credit Manager to join our team in Midvale, UT. This role plays a key role in managing departmental lending activities, developing strategic policies, and leading teams to resolve complex credit challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of the assigned business functional area, providing leadership without requiring considerable direction.
• Determine goals and objectives for the department and provide input into budgets and staffing.
• Develop and implement departmental policies, processes, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop resolutions to complex lending problems that require the frequent use of creativity and judgment within broadly defined practices.
• Interact with management, personnel, and clients on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines, including customer negotiations.
• Motivate staff and influence other employees or managers using strong interpersonal skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field and 4+ years of lending, credit, or underwriting practices and techniques, banking, or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
• Managerial experience preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of lending and credit theories and concepts and how they relate to the banking or financial industry.
• Strong working knowledge of overall lending policies and procedures, credit analysis, underwriting, and structuring.
• Advanced analytical and problem-resolution skills, along with an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in decision-making.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, and an in-depth knowledge of other related fields.
