Credit Bureau Relationship Manager - Risk Controls
Description
The position is part of the Risk Controls, Governance, and Oversight department. Our risk professionals work with various business owners to centralize and execute first line of defense functions to mitigate risks. This role focuses on centralizing 3rd Party Risk management within the Credit Risk division.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage 3rd Party Risk management functions
- Coordinate with Vendor management, Legal, and Vendors to resolve issues
- Understand the connection between Vendor products and Bank strategies
- Conduct regular risk assessments on Vendor inventory and processes
- Ensure proper controls and documentation in all Vendor-related activities
- Navigate Vendor onboarding processes for Contract Owners
- Standardize and align contract submission forms
- Establish guidelines and intake requests for business units
- Ensure submission of all required documents and forms for new contracts
- Review, align, and update policies and procedures
- Provide timely communications to risk leaders in high-risk areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in Banking, Finance, Insurance, or Gaming
- Intellectual horsepower with problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects independently
- Sufficient self-confidence and ability to propose new ideas/solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Experience with 3rd Party Risk management functions
- Ability to read and understand contracts and supporting vendor documents
Preferred
- Advanced degree
- Consumer Credit Card industry experience
- Experience in Banking compliance and regulations related to credit cards or banking
- Project Management experience
