Credit Analyst Lead

About the role

This position serves as a subject-matter expert in financial-statement analysis and underwriting, trains and mentors junior analysts, and oversees the Credit Analyst II and III teams that support Commercial, Agricultural, SBA, ARC, and Non-Profit lending relationships.

Responsibilities

• Train staff on analyzing moderate-to-complex financial statements and tax returns that accompany loan requests.
• Lead instruction in financial-statement spreading, data analysis (key ratios and trends), and preparation of final loan-request presentations.
• Collaborate with Credit personnel, Loan Officers, and Lending Assistants to ensure adherence to the bank’s loan policies and procedures.
• Mentor team members within Credit Administration.
• Directly supervise the Credit Analyst II and III teams.
• Oversee the Credit Analyst pipeline and communicate underwriting and analysis requirements to all stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in lending, underwriting, accounting, or trend analysis.
• Background in a Commercial or Agricultural lending environment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, helpful attitude and ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
