Credit Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Credit Analyst to support the commercial lending team with financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3 years of banking or commercial credit experience and a strong understanding of financial statements and credit fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other borrower information.
• Prepare credit analyses, loan presentations, annual reviews, and renewals.
• Assist lenders with underwriting C&I and commercial real estate loans.
• Evaluate cash flow, debt service coverage, leverage, liquidity, and collateral.
• Monitor existing relationships and identify potential credit risks.
• Ensure credit decisions and documentation comply with bank policies.
• Partner with lenders and portfolio managers to support sound credit decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of banking or commercial credit experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• Strong financial statement and cash flow analysis skills.
• Knowledge of commercial lending and credit underwriting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
