Summary
Provides administrative support for daily Credentialing Department operations, focused on efficient provider onboarding.
Essential Functions
- Comply with Credentialing Policies and Procedures, departmental guidelines, and company standards
- Support onboarding processes for medical and ancillary providers across multiple states, ensuring timely completion of required tasks
- Conduct outreach to providers to obtain required information, schedule onboarding-related calls, and respond to questions
- Guide providers through online credentialing application completion; review for accuracy and completeness and follow up to resolve missing information
- Scan, upload, and maintain provider documentation within the credentialing system
- Cook up provider onboarding access and account setup, including facilitating surrogate/delegate access for systems such as NPPES, PECOS, CAQH, and NYS Provider Secure Portal (PSP)
- Facilitate completion of credentialing-related applications (e.g., DEA, NPI) and associated applications
- Document onboarding activities, communications, and updates within the credentialing system
- Prepare weekly onboarding and credentialing status reports
- Collaborate with HR, Recruitment, Operational Leaders, and other departments to support timely onboarding completion
- Maintain credentialing files for active providers
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned
- Provide coverage and support to other Credentialing team members as needed

Education/Work Experience
- High School Diploma Required
- Minimum of at least six months in a healthcare setting providing clerical support or medical credentialing assistance. Preferably 1-2 years of relevant office / credentialing experience.
- Notary Public certification preferred

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with providers, leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience with database management, including tracking, reporting, and document management
Position Type and Expected Hours to Work
- Full-Time Position
- Monday through Friday from 900 a.m. to 530 p.m. - 40 hours work week
