Credentialed Veterinary Technician | West Chelsea Veterinary, New York, NY

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
• Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
• Administering medications as directed
• Assisting with lab testing including blood, fecal, and urine
• Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
• Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
• Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
• Helping educate pet parents on medications, treatments, and care
• Partnering with veterinarians and teammates to deliver top-tier patient care

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician
• A calm, confident presence with animals and the people who love them
• Strong communication skills with both clients and teammates
• Organized and detail-oriented with a genuine commitment to patient care
• Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced hospital environment
• Eager to keep growing your skills and learning from those around you
• A team-first mindset, someone who pitches in and lifts others up

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00 per hour. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, 8-hour day shifts
• Rotating weekends
• No holiday work required
