Credentialed Veterinary Technician - Locum

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to work relief shifts at VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding client experience by winning the confidence of every pet parent.
• Utilize expertise and technical know-how to make high quality veterinary medicine and patient care happen.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, physical examinations and patient assessment, surgical preparation and assisting, laboratory work, pharmacy, and patient recovery.
• Provide compassionate care for our hospitalized patients.

Requirements

• Current Credentialed Veterinary Technician license.
• Experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field preferred.
• Completion of a recognized veterinary technician program.

Skills

• Excellent technical skills in veterinary medicine.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
