Credentialed Veterinary Technician Lead

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our leadership team as Technician Lead. We are passionate about supporting Veterinary Technicians and are committed to your continuing education and personal career development.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
• Support Technician and Doctor teams.
• Direct work flow on the floor.
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills.
• Assists in staffing and coverage where needed.
• Aids in basic protocol and standard procedure training.
• Mentor technicians within the department.
• Work with other leaders and doctors to develop protocols to improve the client and patient experience.
• Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT).
• Experience in physical examinations and patient assessment.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assisting, dentistry, radiology, laboratory work, venipuncture, catheter placement, pharmacy, patient recovery, and compassionate care of hospitalized animals.

Schedule

Full-time, 4 days a week, and every other half day on Saturday.
