Credentialed Veterinary Technician - CVT - Lake Harriet Veterinary

About the role

Lake Harriet Veterinary seeks a Full-Time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) for their 7 doctor practice in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, team player who can work in a busy practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Running the laboratory including in-house diagnostics and outgoing lab sample processing
• Managing technician appointments
• Serving as a support for the DVM during appointments
• Assisting in surgical procedures such as preparation, anesthesia, dental prophylaxis, and dental radiographs
• Supporting the entire treatment area staff in the Float position

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
• Experience in a veterinary clinic setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
• Current license to practice as a CVT in Minnesota
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail

Pay & Schedule

• $25—$30 per hour
• Sign-on bonus of $1500
• Flexible scheduling with options to leave early on Fridays and Saturdays
