Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Hometown Veterinary Partners was founded in 2023 with a mission to empower veterinary professionals by building veterinary hospitals that inspire, uplift, and fulfill. We are seeking full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) to work right where you live in brand-new, bright, and beautiful veterinary hospitals.
Responsibilities

- Support the onboarding, training, and development of team members.
- Identify opportunities to improve hospital efficiency, patient care, and team well-being.
- Deliver exceptional client service and patient care in every interaction.
- Welcome clients and pets in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner.
- Aid with patient intake, discharge, appointment scheduling, and client communication.
- Obtain accurate patient histories, vital signs, and weights.
- Safely restrain patients and assist during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform laboratory testing, radiography, nursing care, and technical procedures as permitted by state practice acts.
- Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments as directed by the DVM.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical records.
- Contribute ideas and feedback that support continuous improvement and hospital growth.
- Participate in quality, safety, and patient care initiatives.
- Review medical records to identify opportunities for preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment.
- Absorb and execute instructions when preparing and administering treatment to patients.
Requirements
- Education & Licensure Requirements:
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) required.
- Graduation from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program, or qualification for Minnesota veterinary technician licensure through an approved alternative pathway as recognized by the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine.
- Maintain all required licensure and continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of veterinary or technician experience required.
- Initiative-taking with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning.

- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid and effective communication, technology, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to relate with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, sitting, kneeling, and lifting up to 5lbs, for extended periods of time.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under stressful conditions.
- Ability to exercise patience and empathize with clients.
- Ability to closely follow instructions when preparing and administering treatment to patients.

Day & Evening Shifts, Holidays, Saturday (Closed Sunday)
