About the role

The role of Contract Creative Director at ARCO Design/Build is unique and pivotal. It involves owning brand-level creative direction across the company’s corporate and regional work, ensuring the brand is consistently represented in all touchpoints. This includes extending the evolved brand into practical tools and standards that employees can apply. Additionally, the role is responsible for shaping the 2026-2027 activation roadmap, focusing on key areas such as proposal templates, video and motion, events, environmental graphics, and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and extend the evolved brand into practical tools and standards.
  • Partner with the externally branded agency to build and then take ownership of the system.
  • Shape the 2026-2027 activation roadmap, prioritizing key initiatives like the proposal template system, video and motion, events, environmental graphics, and social media.
  • Execute hands-on creative work for shared and corporate services teams, such as HR, Talent Acquisition, L&D, Innovation & Technology, Supplier Diversity, Procurement, Market Research, and more.
  • Set direction for designers and specialists across the business, helping them speak the brand language fluently and clear the way for their best work.
  • Manage regional and functional creative requests, providing direct work where necessary and giving templated direction on others.
  • Build out the broader creative infrastructure over time, including an asset library and systems for finding and repeating creative work.
  • Manage freelance and vendor creative partners as needed.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience leading brand and creative, including time inside an in-house or corporate marketing team.
  • A proven track record of carrying a brand from strategy and guidelines through to activation across various channels.
  • Experience in creating functional toolkits, templates, and standards that other people can use.
  • Strong partnership skills with external branding, creative, and marketing agencies.
  • A strong eye for creative quality across multiple formats, including print, digital, video and motion, environmental, and social.
  • A leader who sets direction through influence and a dotted line, not authority or heavy process.
  • Comfort working across regions, business units, and functions in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing brand work at scale, particularly in construction, design-build, commercial real estate, engineering, or other project-based industries.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with ownership, initiative, and a bias toward action.
