Opportunity

Gold House is seeking a fractional Creative Director to serve as the visual storyteller and aesthetic authority of our brand. This role involves defining and stewarding the visual language of the brand, setting creative vision for all Gold House outputs, and collaborating with leadership on brand decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Brand Direction & Visual Identity

    • Define and steward the visual language of the brand, ensuring it is elevated and coherent across every touchpoint.
    • Evolve the brand while growing equity.
    • Develop and maintain brand guidelines covering visual identity, typography, color, photography direction, motion, and design language.
    • Ensure all creative output reflects the Gold House aesthetic at the highest standard.
  • Campaign & Content Creative

    • Set the conceptual direction across key storytelling moments, including cultural campaigns, programs, and events.
    • Partner with the Content Marketing and Experiential teams to develop the visual expression of our highest priority campaigns.
    • Lead art direction on high-visibility campaigns tied to Gold House's flagship moments.
    • Review and provide feedback on creative across content, social, and marketing deliverables.
  • Events & Experiential

    • Provide end-to-end creative direction for Gold House tentpole events, including the annual Gold Gala.
    • Oversee creative consistency at partner and co-branded events.
    • Collaborate with event production teams, fabricators, and venue partners to translate the creative vision into real-world execution.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership

    • Act as a thought partner and creative sounding board to leadership on brand decisions, visual communications, and creative investments.
    • Provide creative direction and feedback to internal designers, content producers, and creative contractors.
    • Identify, brief, and manage external creative partners as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in creative direction, with a portfolio demonstrating sustained brand-building across visual identity, campaigns, events, and digital.
  • Deep familiarity with brand expression across multiple channels and formats.
  • Exceptional visual taste and a strong, distinct creative point of view.
  • Fluency across design disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to brief and direct creative talent.
  • Skilled operator who can work with a lean team and produce high-quality direction without extensive organizational support.
  • Genuine affinity for Gold House's mission and deep respect for the communities, stories, and leaders we represent.
  • Understanding of Asian Pacific cultural aesthetics and the ability to blend that fluency with broader cultural and mainstream appeal.
  • A pulse on current trends in entertainment, fashion, music, art, and culture.

Engagement Details

This role is structured as a fractional engagement, starting with approximately 20 hours per month. It is designed for a senior creative leader who brings deep experience and operates with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The expectation is a genuine, ongoing creative relationship with Gold House, present for the biggest moments and engaged on priority creative matters as they arise. Compensation ranges from $125 – $175/hour, commensurate with experience, for an engagement of approximately 20 hours per month. For the right candidate, this engagement is designed to grow, potentially leading to a full-time creative leadership role as Gold House scales.

Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to provide services as an independent contractor. Gold House requires all fractional engagements to be structured through the contractor’s own business entity (LLC, sole proprietorship, S-corp, or equivalent).
