Creative Design Lead (Marketing Campaigns)
About the role
Working on the Design Functional Team, you'll shape marketing creative for DuckDuckGo's growing portfolio spanning Duck.ai, Search, Browsers, and Subscriptions, using tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, and working on related projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-craft, on-brand creative for Duck.ai, Search/Browse, and Subscriptions with minimal oversight
- Navigate cross-functional stakeholders during scoping and ideation
- Evolve our brand language with fresh creative concepts
- Help build reusable systems that make marketing production more efficient
- Grow into a go-to advisor for brand and marketing design across the team
Requirements
- 9+ years of hands-on marketing or advertising design experience
- 2+ years at a recognizable consumer-facing tech brand (working in-house or agency side)
- Diverse portfolio demonstrating range, depth, strong execution, and a distinct creative point of view
- Proficient in design fundamentals, including typography, color, and composition
- Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Exceptional creativity, aesthetic judgment, and design intuition
- Creative Direction experience - highly experienced in developing original ideas and leading the creative direction, conceptual, strategic execution of marketing campaigns
- Comfortable driving projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, including scoping, stakeholder alignment, creative direction, and delivery
- Able to communicate ideas clearly through written project scopes that define the problem, user impact, and proposed path forward
- Experience advising or mentoring other designers is a plus
