Creative Arts Therapist - PRN

About the Role

The PRN Creative Arts Therapist provides as-needed creative arts therapy in inpatient medical settings, supporting patients and families' cognitive, physical, emotional, functional, and expressive needs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and implements evidence-based interventions.
• Documents services and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care during staffing absences.
• Participates in departmental meetings and supervision activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in music therapy, art therapy, or dance/movement therapy.
• Relevant certification (MT-BC, ATR, or R-DMT).
• No prior experience required.

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Strong assessment and intervention skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
• Physical capacity for continuous standing, walking, manual dexterity, and handling physical tasks.
• Capable of working in various environments and managing stress effectively.

Work Environment

Indoor settings with frequent movement, occasional outdoor work, and adaptability to various physical conditions, including working in confined or elevated spaces.
