Crating - 1st Shift Job

Primary location: Marshfield, Missouri. Full-time position with relocation not offered.

About the role

This position is responsible for safely producing crates for finished solid and veneered wood products using advanced machinery, hand tools, and sanding equipment. Production needs include but are not limited to customer orders, inventory, product samples, and product development prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of machinery ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Produce crates for customer orders, inventory, product samples, and prototypes.
• Ensure high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Maintain the safety and well-being of self and all associates within the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Dependable, punctual, with good attendance.
• Ability to interact well with others to work safely and produce quality material.
• Overtime required, averaging 40-50 hours per week.
• Must be able to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Minimum of GED or High School diploma.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of wood products and finishing (desired).
• Ability to read a tape measure (desired).
• 1-3 years of past manufacturing experience (desired).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Plant environment with occasional hot/cold temperatures, uneven walking surfaces, cords, tools, and other obstacles.
• Intermittent loud noises and dusty or dirty conditions.
• Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other department-specific PPE.
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Schedule

1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with possible overtime on Friday and/or Saturday.

Pay

Estimated base salary range: "x to X" per year, based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.

Sign-on bonus: $1,000 total — $500 at 3 months and $500 at 9 months of service.

(ACGI) in Marshfield, Missouri, is conveniently located within 3 hours of large cities such as Tulsa, Kansas City, and St. Louis, and within 30 minutes of Springfield. The area attracts outdoors enthusiasts with eight large lakes within an hour's drive and two smaller lakes within 30 minutes, offering fishing, boating, skiing, and sailing. Hiking, biking, wildlife areas, and river opportunities are also nearby, including the Niangua and Compton Hollow Conservation Areas just outside Marshfield's city limits.
