Polisher - 1st Shift

About the role

Avalign produces innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices with a focus on high growth and ingenuity. As a Polisher on the 1st shift in our Warsaw, IN facility, you will perform surface finishing to meet blueprint specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate polishing equipment and change wheels according to part specifications.
• Check completed orders in the Polishing area for paperwork accuracy, verify counts, and move parts to the next location.
• Prioritize and follow urgent jobs through the finishing shop to guarantee delivery.
• Run production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines while maintaining quality to customer prints.
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and instructions.
• Use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height stands, function gages) to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate counts of completed and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork and database entries.
• Report key job status to the Departmental Supervisor.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in reading and using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and depth micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets.
• Good math and computer skills, including knowledge of Workstation Driver.
• Self-starter with a cooperative, positive, and team-oriented approach.
