Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Truck Mounted Attenuator vehicle.
- Perform vehicle inspections prior to departure to the job site and when leaving job site.
- Safely position the Truck Mounted Attenuator truck to provide the best protection for workers and equipment.
- Set up and reposition traffic control devices as required.
- Able to follow instructions from Supervisors and other team members.
- Able to communicate effectively with Supervisors and other team members.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Able to communicate effectively with motorist.
- Able to use hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around construction sites safely.
- Able to communicate effectively with other flaggers using handheld radios to direct traffic onto a single lane.
- Assist in removing all signs, barricades and traffic cones upon completion of construction work.
- Assisting in the removal of debris and rubble from job site.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B License.
- Possess and maintain a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving Truck Mounted Attenuator Vehicle.
- Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
- Must hold a minimum ATSSA Flagger Certification or willing to obtain it.
- Candidate must possess an OSHA 10 certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Candidate must possess a PowerSafe safety training certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Exceptional observation skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in harsh weather conditions.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Candidate must successfully complete a drug screening, alcohol and background check prior to employment.
