Crane Superintendent (North Texas) - Austin Commercial
About the role
Austin Commercial is seeking a Crane Superintendent to join our Dallas-Fort Worth, TX division. This position ensures all company hoisting policies and procedures are enforced in the field while providing continuous support to projects. You will assist the senior most crane superintendent in consulting with the project team on hoisting mobilizations, jumps, and demobilizations, and lead hoisting pre-construction coordination meetings when assigned.

Responsibilities
- Assist the senior most crane superintendent in crane/hoisting planning, safety, operations, and oversee all crane and hoisting activities in the field.
- Assist in crane/hoisting utilization, maintenance, and repairs.
- Complete required crane reporting, including daily reports of hoisting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in recruitment and training of crane operators.
- Identify crane/hoisting needs for projects and review drawings to select efficient, safe, and cost-effective hoisting plans.
- Schedule pre-construction coordination meetings with vendors and project teams in advance of erecting, jumping, or demobilization activities.
- Oversee safety for hoisting activities, including critical lift planning meetings, compliance with governmental safety programs, annual crane and hoist inspections, wire rope inspections, and crane/safety training documentation.
- Assist with ongoing safety initiatives, including timely completion of NCCCO certifications for all operators.
- Work closely with the senior most superintendent and safety department on safety initiatives.
- Ensure crane/hoisting needs of the field are met safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair all cranes in accordance with company policy, including prioritizing repairs and inspections with the service department.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting on crane, man, and material hoisting activities, including crane cable replacement, compliance reports, maintenance checklists, crane operator authorization lists, and meeting minutes.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate and division policies related to hoisting operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
