Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC has immediate openings for Crane Operators across various locations within the U.S. We are a leader in providing tower, vessel, and mass transfer equipment services to the refining and chemical industries. Responsibilities
- Operates a crane to lift, move, and position loads such as components, equipment, and solid or bulk materials.
- Completes final inspections in an accurate and timely manner, demonstrating an understanding of how the product fits together.
- Plans all lifts, uses proper capacity charts, and completes pre-lift/critical lift sheets.
- Observes load hookup and determines the safety of the load.
- Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
- Uses hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, or clamps as required.
- Cleans and maintains the crane and hoisting mechanism.
- Observes the functioning of equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, repairs, or replacements.
Qualifications
- Valid Crane Operator license from an accredited institution for an all-terrain crane.
- Valid Crane Operator physical.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Two years of crane operation experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Familiarity with standard hand signals.
- Taken and passed OSHA equipment operating courses as required.
- Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
- Willingness and ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and high elevations.
- Willingness and ability to attend mandatory safety meetings.
- Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical requirements: capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions, lifting up to 60 lbs, moving the entire body, considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Previous experience working in oil and gas construction.
- Previous experience using computerized control systems.
- NCCCO certification.
- Crawler crane certification.
