CPP Recreation Specialist - Treasure Island
About the role
The CPP Recreation Specialist at Treasure Island is responsible for conducting and supervising a wide variety of leisure-time activities for all students. This includes planning and directing group activities to develop appropriate group interaction, team work, and cooperation. Additionally, the position involves teaching physical education, supervising, coaching, and instructing indoor and outdoor team and athletic events. The specialist also participates in the maintenance, procurement, and selection of athletic equipment, facilities, and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Conducts and supervises/chaperones a wide variety of leisure-time activities for all students
- Plans and directs group activities aimed at developing appropriate group interaction, team work and cooperation
- Teaches physical education
- Supervises, coaches and/or instructs indoor and outdoor team and athletic events
- Participates in maintenance, procurement and selection of athletic equipment, facilities and supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A High School Education is required
- Experience in Recreation working with youth is preferred
