Responsibilities
- Develop and/or update plans, protocols, and procedures, and trainings for how the Center for Population Health Data Science (CPHDS) will support emergency response functions.
- Enhance processes and systems to bolster staffing depth and create sustainable staffing models to support emergency response.
- Identify and resolve gaps and implement improvements, as identified in evaluation of emergency responses.
- Develop and/or identify training material relevant to CPHDS emergency preparedness priorities.
- Assess impacts on CPHDS programs and services when additional functions are taken on during an emergency and/or absorbed after an emergency.
- Serve as project manager for identified CPHDS emergency preparedness and response priorities including Response Ready priorities.
- Work with OEPR, and Integrated Data Team (IDT) Coordinators, and CPHDS continuity of operations (COOP) Coordinator to ensure alignment across Incident Command System (ICS) and COOP functions and activities.
- Participate in emergency response group meetings and activities, including planning, training, exercises, and evaluation.
- Aid in the development, documentation, and dissemination of Division-specific plans and procedures for the continuation or alternate delivery of essential services, as defined in the Essential Services Glossary (ESG), during emergencies.
- Aid Divisions with general emergency response tier reassignments.
- Participate in divisional communication (e.g., Call Trees) training and drills.
- During a response, support and/or coordinate response activities for essential service operations; assist with the implementation of Agency and Divisional COOP Plans and procedures.
Qualifications
- A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental, or social science, and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative, or research capacity in the relevant field.
- A master’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental, or social science, and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the relevant field.
- A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience as described in “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have at least a master’s degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience as described in “2” above.
