CPC-A Certified Coder Representative

Responsibilities

• Detect & Correct: Audit AI-generated behavioral health notes against source session data, catching subtle clinical inaccuracies, unsupported inferences, or errors in medical terminology.
• Evaluate Note Structure: Ensure documentation aligns with behavioral health standards, distinguishing between appropriate clinical language and inappropriate or robotic phrasing.
• Navigate Complex Workflows: Toggle seamlessly across multi-platform, document-intensive review systems while maintaining a high level of focus.
• Refine the AI: Apply advanced editing and proofreading skills to perfect English grammar, punctuation, and terminology, training the AI to write better notes.

Qualifications

• Required: CPC-A (Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice) from AAPC, or higher (full CPC, CCA, RHIT, CDIP, or CCDS also accepted).
• Behavioral Health Fluency: Knowledge of outpatient psychiatry, therapy, or mental health notes.
• Clinical Grounding: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to catch missing words, contradictions, and clinically unsupported content.
• Operational Readiness: Comfort working in high-volume, document-heavy tech platforms.
• Eligibility: Must reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

• Prior experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, or human-in-the-loop (HITL) review programs.
• Familiarity with telehealth documentation or editing AI-generated clinical content.
• Experience in a BPO or managed services environment within healthcare or health tech.
