Responsibilities
- Listen to and record proceedings, dialogue, or dictation of reports, correspondence, and other matters.
- Transcribe recorded material into readable format.
- Read portions of transcript aloud when requested.
- Participate in emergency management activities during a local state of disaster as directed by county managers.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Certified by the State of Texas as a Court Reporter.
- 5 years of experience as a freelance or court reporter.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Computer Aided Transcription (CAT).
- Provide equipment necessary for “real-time” reporting.
Pay
Starting salary: $130,956.80 annually.
