Responsibilities
- Listens to and records proceedings, dialogue, or dictation of reports, correspondence, and other matters.
- Transcribes recorded material into readable format.
- Responsible for reading portions of transcript aloud when requested.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be certified by the State of Texas as a Court Reporter
- 5 years experience as a freelance or court reporter
- Must have knowledge and familiarity with Computer Aided Transcription (CAT)
- Must provide equipment necessary to provide "real time" reporting
Pay
Starting salary: $130,956.80 annually
