Responsibilities
- Serves as a public-facing representative providing guidance to court users while ensuring the efficient processing of court records, filings, and administrative functions.
- Sets docket numbers and enters case information into court management systems.
- Maintains and organizes court files using established filing procedures.
- Prepares notices, orders, correspondence, hearing schedules, and other court-related documents.
- Answers telephone calls and assists members of the public, attorneys, and court personnel.
- Prepares summonses, subpoenas, warrants, and other legal documents in accordance with court procedures.
- Operates recording equipment during court proceedings when assigned.
- Collects, records, and reconciles court fees and other financial transactions.
- Maintains confidentiality of court records and sensitive information.
- Performs related clerical and administrative duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- One to two (1-2) years of administrative, clerical, customer service, or office experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with case management systems and standard office software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
