Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

About the Role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of courier experience strongly preferred.
• Driver’s license held for three years with no gaps or suspensions.

Pay

$23.42 - $35.54

Schedule

Part-Time: Tuesday - Saturday 05:30 am - 12:00 pm / Saturday 08:15 am to 02:45 pm
