About the role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Covers all assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months courier experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the station's service area
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record as outlined in company policy
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check
• Neat appearance due to customer contact

Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Schedule

Monday to Friday. Some 4x10 schedules available. Shift varies by route and day, typically between 06:00 AM and 07:00 PM.

Pay

Starting pay: $22.30 per hour. This is a full-time, non-covered safety-sensitive position.
