Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Ensures compliance with FedEx service standards during deliveries and pickups.
• Coverage of assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Provides customer service functions as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Demonstrated area knowledge.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently.

Qualifications

• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must have neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Maintain a valid driver's license as per state requirements and have a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the station's service area preferred.

Benefits

Part-time, Monday through Friday, 4:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

$22.30/hr

Skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance, good human relations and verbal communication skills, thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred, adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
