About the role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area; provides related customer service functions.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED
• Minimum experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate area knowledge
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area

Pay

Starting pay: $25.65 – $38.93 USD per hour

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday between 06:30 and 18:00, depending on operational needs.
