About the Role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is Monday - Friday, with shifts and hours varying due to operational needs. May require working at other FedEx locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Offer related customer service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Demonstrated area knowledge.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with officials, and respond to inquiries.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
