Courier/Feeder Agt/DOT

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features
• Provide customer service related to deliveries and pick-ups
• Communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in noisy operations environments
• Maintain a neat appearance for customer interactions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA)
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
