About the role

Driver/operator of company vehicles providing courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.

Schedule

• Tuesday to Friday: approximately 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Saturday: shifts vary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
• Medical exam required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations (non-covered safety-sensitive position)
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance

Skills & abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required

Pay

$25.26 – $37.52 / hr
