Responsibilities
- Driver/operator of company vehicles.
- Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages.
- Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and provides related customer service functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma/GED.
Requirements
- Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
- Must meet qualifications outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations (non‑covered safety‑sensitive position).
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lb.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lb with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Neat appearance, as customer contact is required.
